Sarah the Designer, Virtual Croquis Icon and Button for BookMark's Fashion Composition User Interface |
BookMarkTutoring.com (Santa Rosa, CA) has added not only its 12th croquis model to its croquis library, but also has announced development of a new button interface that is expected to speed the selection of fashion library components. The library interface will allow fashion designers to select designs from a rotating library or drill down in the traditional way.
The designs on the new button interface will feature stylized icons of each of the different fashion component categories as well as the individual garments in the different libraries. These include croquis, shirts, hairstyles, skirts, shoes, faces, pants, and accessories like jewelry.
BookMark also announced its 12th croquis model icon. Named Sarah the Designer, she has been developed for modern fashion composition themes. Sarah the Designer will be featured in fashion games that center around the day in the life of the designer.
Students at BookMark learn the basics of fashion illustration and the techniques used to illustrate. They also learn how to develop basic fashion skills such as fashion writing and fashion reporting. Students form groups, as imaginary companies, then create designs, animated fashion games and blogs. Students rate the performance of their imaginary fashion businesses based on blog traffic and number and quality of designs. Lessons place an emphasis on fashion terminology and vocabulary. Students are encouraged to use SAT practice test words to help not only improve their fashion writing but also their scores on the English and writing sections of the SAT test.
Sarah the Designer is available in non-vectorized format as part of BookMark's fashion show model library. With BookMark's fashion design libraries, graphic design blocks and fashion design automation tools, students at BookMark can select fashion items and then vectorize, colorize, transform and animate them to create customized fashion compositions, highly stylized fashion settings and complete virtual fashion shows and worlds.
