Smart power strips, power strips that can be set to turn off home appliances and office equipment at specific times, are one way to reduce your energy bill and reduce wireless electromagnetic emissions WiFi routers, because they are continually on, besides continually consume energy. The motion sensor variety will automatically turn on the office equipment or home appliances connected to the power strip when you walk into a room As well, they automatically turn off electronic equipment when you leave. There are also infrared sensor based smart power strips that will automatically turn on your appliances when they detect heat from a human source.
